Where Faith and Health Unite
Charting a Path to Wellness the Way God Intended
Welcome to The Faith and Wellness Journal, where biblical truth and holistic health come together in the pursuit of wholeness. Just as the Reformation called believers back to the foundation of faith, we seek to restore wellness by aligning our spiritual, physical, and emotional health with God’s divine design.
Here, you’ll find faith-centered insights on nutrition, rest, healing, and spiritual renewal—rooted in Scripture and inspired by the wisdom of those who have walked before us. Join us as we explore what it means to live fully for God, embracing a life of balance, purpose, and well-being in His presence.
Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.

In Christian circles today, there is much talk about the Antichrist. Antichrist is first identified in Daniel Chapter 7 of the Bible as “the Little Horn.” Here, the prophet Daniel describes his future activities. In verse 21 it says: “I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them.”
Who is the Little Horn? Without question, all of the early Protestant Reformers identified the Little Horn power as the Roman Catholic Papacy, which ruled Europe with an iron fist for over 1,000 years. This, of course, is the period of history known as the Dark Ages,...

Most people, including most Christians, are somewhat afraid of the judgment. The Bible contradicts the notion that the judgment is a negative event. Instead, it presents the judgment as good news. Notice what the Apostle John wrote:
“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”—...

Why the Protestant Mission Is Not Yet Complete
On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther, a Roman Catholic priest, nailed his 95 theses to the door of the cathedral in Wittenberg, Germany. Why? In part because a Roman Catholic salesman named Johann Tetzel had come to Wittenberg selling the forgiveness of sins—a practice called indulgences, which the popes still offer today.
Luther took an enormous risk. In those days, if you opposed Roman Catholic teaching, you could be burned alive at the stake. His biblical doctrine of justification by faith struck at the heart of Catholicism. That truth spread across...

Have you ever heard of the nine commandments? Most Christians have not. And yet a large number of Christians subscribe only to 9 of the 10 Commandments. What is curious is that the only one of the 10 commandments that they say is no longer applicable is the only one of the Commandments that begins with the word remember!
It goes like this: “Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy.” It is the 4th commandment of the 10. It is the only commandment that tells us who gave us the law. It calls the Sabbath “the Sabbath of the Lord thy God.” It tells us that the reason we worship God is because he is...

Most Christians assume that the sin problem arose in Eden when Adam and Eve ate of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But sin did not originate on Earth. Many Christians are surprised to learn that sin originated in heaven…and the perpetrator of sin was an angel called Lucifer, a created being who decided to challenge the authority of God. (See Isaiah 14, Ezekiel 28)
Notice what John the Apostle wrote in Revelation chapter 12: 7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and His angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they [a]did not prevail, nor...

Today, a vast number of Christians worship on Sunday, the first day of the week. However, there is no biblical evidence that Jesus or the apostles observed Sunday as a day of worship. In fact, the word “Sunday” does not even appear in the Bible. Why? Because it is a pagan name, referring to the day on which pagans worshiped the Sun God—first Baal, later Tammuz.
Sunday worship gradually entered Christianity, not in the first century, but in the 3rd and 4th centuries. In March of 321 AD, Roman Emperor Constantine issued a Sunday law prohibiting work on that day. This was a civil decree,...

A Biblical Perspective on Health and Wellness
Throughout the Bible, the human body is depicted as a sacred dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. The Apostle Paul affirms this in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20:
“Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit… and you are not your own? For you were bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
This powerful statement underscores the importance of honoring God through our physical well-being. The Scriptures provide a comprehensive guide to maintaining our health in a way that...

In Christian circles today there is a general belief in the immortality of the soul and that when one dies the soul goes directly to heaven. Is that true? Is the soul immortal? Listen to what the prophet Ezekiel said in chapter 18:4 “The soul that saneth it shall die.” So apparently, according to the Bible, the soul is mortal not immortal. In order to understand the truth about the soul of man we need to turn to the scriptures to see what a soul is.
Genesis 2:7 The body plus the spirit equals the soul a living being…a person
Ecclesiastes 12: 7 Now what happens when we die ? the spirit returns...

In the 19th century, a group of English pastors from the Anglican Church formed an alliance called the Plymouth Brethren. John Nelson Darby became a spokesman for a new theology based on Jesuit doctrines derived from a book by Emmanuel Lacunza. This theology taught that the 70th week of the prophecy in Daniel 9 was yet to occur, a belief that became known as Futurism. Darby visited the United States six times in the 1830s, successfully propagating the futurist interpretation of the 70th week. This futurist thinking was later adopted by various theological seminaries, including Dallas Theological...

From simple biblical reasoning, every Christian knows that at some point in human history, Jesus will return to this earth, as promised in John 14:1-3. His coming is foretold in all the Gospels, and the details are presented in the book of Revelation. The sequence of events preceding His coming is detailed in Matthew Chapter 24. In Revelation 22, Jesus presents a time deadline when human probation will close:
“He that is filthy, let him be filthy still; he that is righteous, let him be righteous still; and he that is holy, let him be holy still.”
